Two Canadian women are in Mexican custody, suspected of lobbing Molotov cocktails at Mexico City government offices.

Late Sunday night, three suspects, clad all in black, allegedly ignited a series of gasoline bombs at both a Nissan dealership and a high-rise building housing the offices of Mexico’s Secretariat of Communications and Transportation.

The attack occurred in the Mexico City borough of Benito Juárez, a middle-class area just south of the city centre. According to Mexican media, the explosions — five in all — sent bystanders fleeing in panic from the area.
